To understand the wants and needs of the people and use that as a weapon to take down the Empire. Listen to the voice of the players. Understand what they feel. Engage their deepest desires and emotions. Only through an obsessive focus on the players and how they feel, can we deliver something they will love for years to come.

Chillchat is not a family, family loves you unconditionally. Chillchat is a sports team, and sports teams are about performance. We’re competing internationally and we’re playing to win. To win, we must be great, and to be great, we believe two traits are required: Excellence and Urgency.
Without excellence, our work will never be at the quality players demand. Without urgency, we will never deliver fast enough to maintain the player’s attention.
We reject mediocrity in favor of aggression and growth. Winning is hard and many failures lie ahead, but as a team and as individuals, we develop strength and resilience by overcoming failure together. Struggle together, win together. Leave everything on the field.

Success in our mission outweighs individual preferences, and player preferences determine our products. We have no time or resources for politics. You are free to champion causes you believe in on your personal time, but in Chillchat we are united by our culture and focused on mission.
04. Trust Your Team
Be transparent with your team. Share information openly and frequently to give your team members the context and ownership they need to win. Reject bureaucracy and encourage independent decision-making to increase the speed of the team.
Actively seek feedback from teammates on your performance to understand how to improve. Trust that your teammates have positive intent when providing you feedback and receive it with an open mind.

Make decisions and take risks. Making mistakes and failing is a necessary part of growth, and how quickly you learn and enact change determines how excellent you are. Always act with integrity and take responsibility the same way you expect your teammates to.

Give feedback frequently and directly in a constructive manner that sets your team up for growth. Feedback should be given as soon as possible, the longer you wait, the less effective the feedback becomes. This is not a license to be an asshole, assholes have no place on our team. Feedback should always be given with the intent to get to winning outcomes.

Approach problems with the proper context and use good judgment. Seek to understand the nuance of each situation. Be flexible and do not apply “one size fits all” solutions. Defaulting to process and procedure will slow us down and speed is crucial to winning.
